History

It is not confirmed, but The Musitano Family is believed to have been founded in the 1950s. The family was founded and named after Dominic Musitano, who was boss until his death in 1995 from a heart attack. His son Pasquale "Pat" Musitano then took over as official boss. The family got much unwanted attention due to the mob hits of Johnny "Pops" Papalia and Carmen Barillaro. Both are now living in hamilton after making parole after two counts of conspiracy to commit murder convicted landed them in kingston for several years.

Pasquale Leadership

During his time on top there has been numerous gangland murders, most famously the Papalia hit. There have been a number of rumours why the murder of Papalia was ordered, one of them was that Papalia was getting old and was suffering from memory loss and therefore not fit to rule the Southern Ontario underworld. Another was the Musitiano's thirst for power and full control of Hamilton and other territories in the province. After Papalia was "whacked" they allegedly wasted no time closing in on his territory and rackets.

Current status

It is unknown now what the Musitanio crime family is up to these days as they have gone underground and been fairly quiet. Following the arrest of Pat and his brother Angelo in 1997 (they were both released in 2007) family hitman Ken Murdock purportedly revealed numerous details to authorities about murders he committed for the family and its organizational structure.
